San Diego’s favorite camp at La Jolla is back from Down Under

G' Day Grommies, (hello young surfers) Moms, Dads, and the adventurous to the Australian Surf Academy (ASA) website!

At the Australian surf academy we run a summer surf camp for kids from ages 11 - 17, private and group lessons for all ages, and also specialty days such as corporate events and kid’s birthdays.

Our expert instructors are all great surfers with knowledge of the ocean. Every instructor at Australian Surf Academy is CPR and First Aid certified. The instructor to student ratio is 1:5 maximum.

Get ready young surfers- grab a vegemite sandwich and get ready for some great surfing action.

Summer Camp

That’s it grommies- you’ve spent all year looking out the window, checking the winds and dreaming of surfing all day- now it’s time to do it!

• Surf Camp is at La Jolla Shores, San Diego, California (Call for exact directions)
• Camp runs from 9:30am – 4:00pm on a weekly basis (Camp dates listed)
• Ratio is 1:5
• Camp is for kids from ages 11 – 17

In one week campers will learn:

• A basic beginners course in surfing (for first time wave shredders)
• An elite course in surfing (for experienced wave hackers)
• Surf safety, ocean awareness and the beach environment
• Some of the many fun Aussie and world games from the ASA mixed bag including Cricket, Aussie rules, Soccer, Rounders and Tagging Games
• Good old Aussie beach culture!

San Diego Group and Private Surfing Lessons

The ASA is stoked to get any group out surfing- In Australia everyone from schools, scouts and guides, fire brigades, youth groups and football teams get out there and give surfing a try. We believe there needs to be more of it here!

A group surfing lesson is a fantastic way of teambuilding or sharing an amazing experience together! We guarantee you a good time!

We can cater for groups up to 25 people a session, each session runs for two hours.

Sessions include:
• Surfboard and wetsuit
• 20 minute land lesson
• Surf safety and ocean awareness

San Diego Corporate Events

At the Australian Surf Academy we run everything from kid’s birthday parties to corporate event days.
